There is a world, just beyond ours, that lives in the shadows, in our imagination, in our dreams. There is magic around every corner, but it remains unseen by most.

I draw and paint to bridge those worlds together, to give flight to fantasy, and create a new reality out of the night shade and into the light of consciousness. Hyperrealism is my genre and colored pencils are my most frequently used medium. I work from dark to light, pulling my subjects out of the shadows, giving them form and life. I am inspired by my own dreams and fantasies as well as the visions of others. Everyone has facets and stories that aren't always visible to those around them, and whether it's an alter-ego, a daydream, or one of many personae, most people don't get the chance to let that side shine.

A portrait should be a very personal thing, something that tells a story about you to everyone who gazes upon it. What that story says is entirely up to you...my job is to blur the lines between reality and fantasy and let your mind divulge, even for a moment, that what you're seeing has to be real.
