Lily Christiana Munn always knew she
wanted to be an artist. She had been drawing,
painting, and creating portraits for most of her life,
and professionally since 1999. In 1993, she got her
Cosmetology license and worked professionally as a
cosmetologist/hair stylist and makeup &
SFX artist to pay her way through art school. After
graduating from the Seattle Art Institute in 1998 with a
degree in Illustration, she developed her art business skills.
She worked as a negative/print digital
retoucher, photographer, portrait artist, and illustrator. In
2004, she was forced to retire from the art and glamour
world after almost a decade of crippling wrist and
hand pain and degenerating spine from a connective tissue disorder. Fortunately, after wrist
surgery and a few years of physical therapy
and rehabilitation, she was able to
carefully work her way back to drawing and painting.
Using all of her mad creative skills together, she
now creates a wonderfully unique style of
hyperrealistic fine art portraiture not seen anywhere else.
